Obituary
Ruben Mercado, surrounded by his family, entered eternal rest on Monday, August 7th, 2023, at Jersey City Medical Center.
A resident of Jersey City, NJ, he was born in the Bronx, NY to his parents Juan Mercado and Inez Ortiz.
Ruben proudly served our Country as a Vietnam War Veteran in United States Army and was retired from the United States Post Office.
He is survived by his beloved wife Micki and their loving daughters, Michelle Mercado and Christine Ortega with her husband David.
Ruben also leaves behind his cherished grandchild, Van Alucard Ortega and his dear sister, Alice Melendez.
Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 19th, 2023, 2:00 ~ 6:00 pm at the funeral home.
In Lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations to Ruben's favorite charity, Wounded Warriors.
