Roseann was born in New York, New York, to Salvatore La-Fata and Helen (Witzenkic) La-Fata. She was raised in the Hell's Kitchen neighborhood of Manhattan, where she developed the strength, resilience, and fierce loyalty that would define her throughout her life.

From a young age, Roseann devoted herself to caring for others. As one of ten children, she lovingly helped raise nine siblings, embracing responsibility with a generous heart. That same nurturing spirit led her to a lifelong career as a nanny, where she cared for countless children with patience, kindness, and unwavering devotion. To many, she was more than a caregiver; she was a source of comfort, guidance, and unconditional love.

Above all else, Roseann's greatest pride and purpose was her family. She was a fiercely protective and devoted mother to her beloved son, David Cox, whose well-being was always at the center of her life. Her love continued into the next generation through her cherished granddaughter, Rozlynn Cox, who brought her immense joy.

Roseann will be remembered as an incredibly strong woman whose courage carried her through life's challenges. She possessed a quiet determination, a caring heart, and an unwavering commitment to the people she loved.
