Reinaldo Bello Obituary

Reinaldo Bello, a devoted father, loving grandfather, and embodiment of the American Dream, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of perseverance, humility, and unwavering love for his family. He was 96 years old.

Born on December 16, 1928, in Cuba to Abelardo Bello and Ana Rodríguez, Reinaldo was a trailblazer from a young age. He became the first in his family to attend college, earning a degree in chemistry from the prestigious University of Havana. In 1952, he married the love of his life, Oneida Perez, with whom he shared a strong and enduring bond.

Together, they raised five children: Reinaldo Bello, Reina Tejero, Rudy Bello, Richard Bello, and Raquel Revuelta. In 1967, with hope and courage in his heart, Reinaldo made the life-changing decision to immigrate to the United States, seeking freedom and opportunity for his family after fleeing communist Cuba.

Arriving with limited English but an unbreakable spirit, Reinaldo secured work at Chase Manhattan Bank in telecommunications. Determined to provide for his family, he took on additional jobs as a jeweler and factory worker. His tireless work ethic and deep love for his family enabled him to purchase their first home in 1969-a milestone that symbolized his realization of the American Dream.

Reinaldo will be remembered not only for his accomplishments, but for the person he was: kind, humble, and steadfastly devoted to his loved ones. His unconditional love radiated throughout generations, touching all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, five children, 15 grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren. His life stands as a testament to resilience, sacrifice, and the enduring power of love.

Reinaldo Bello's journey from Cuba to the United States tells the story of a man who built a life rooted in faith, family, and the pursuit of a better future. He will be deeply missed, forever honored, and always remembered.
