Of Teaneck, NJ, he was born in Hartford, Connecticut, to his parents Aron Pitt and Celia (Berman).

He is survived by his loving children Adam and his wife Jualia, Tom, and Julianna Pitt.

Raymond is remembered by his cherished grandchildren Emily and her husband Josh Austein, Isabella Pitt and her partner Jorge Norena, Sofia, and Tristan Pitt along with his great grandchildren Jude and Fenix.
