Ramona Gomez

Ramona Gomez, a cherished and one of a kind daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 22, 2023.

Immigrating from Cuba, she built a life and home in West New York, NJ. She was the proprietor of Aily Fashions in Union City, NJ for 34 years where she built lifelong friendships.

Ramona will be deeply missed by her loving children, Omar Gomez and Aimee Gomez-Hernandez; her grandchildren, Alyson Montalvo and Aaron Hernandez and her sister, Emiliana Martinez.

She is predeceased by her husband, Eduardo Gomez and her brother, Generoso Rodriguez. She will also be fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews and countless friends.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the visitation at Barquin Funeral Home in Guttenberg, NJ on Friday, February 24, 2023 from 3:00-8:00 PM.

There will be a morning requiem mass on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at 9:30 AM at St. Joseph's of the Palisades in West New York, NJ.

Entombment will take place at Flower Hill Mausoleum in North Bergen, NJ following mass.

Ramona's memory will live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege and pleasure to know and love her. She will be forever missed.
