Olga (Goicochea) Vega

Olga Vega, de 95 años, residente de West New York, Nueva Jersey, falleció en paz rodeada del amor de su familia. Nació en Lima, Perú, hija de sus queridos padres Ernestina Sánchez y Lucas Goicochea.

Olga vivió una larga vida llena de amor, dedicación a su familia y gran fortaleza. Hizo de West New York, NJ, su hogar, donde fue una madre, abuela, hermana y amiga muy querida. Su familia siempre fue el centro de su vida y su mayor alegría era estar rodeada de ellos.

Le sobreviven con amor sus hijos Jorge Placencia, Gloria Placencia, Pablo Placencia y Uylises Placencia; sus queridos nietos Mariela, Grisel, Juan Andrés, Vanessa, Jonathan, Cindy y Nicole; y sus hermanas Elizabeth Abreu y Marcela Palacios.

Olga vivía con su hijo Uylises y su amado nieto Carlos Andrés, con quien compartía un vínculo muy especial. Pasaban su tiempo juntos y hacían todo en compañía, llenando sus días de cariño, conversación y alegría.

Tres días antes de su partida, su nieto Carlos Andrés también falleció. Aunque la familia no tuvo el corazón para decírselo, parecía como si ella ya lo supiera. El profundo lazo que compartían nunca se rompió, y ahora descansan juntos en paz eterna.

Olga será recordada por su bondad, su amor incondicional por su familia y el cariño que siempre brindó a quienes la rodeaban. Su recuerdo vivirá por siempre en los corazones de todos los que la conocieron y la amaron.

La velación para Olga Vega y su nieto, Carlos Andrés, se llevará a cabo el viernes 13 de marzo de 2026, de 4:00 p.m. a 8:00 p.m., en Barquin Funeral Home, Guttenberg, NJ.

La Misa fúnebre se celebrará el sábado 14 de marzo de 2026 a las 10:00 a.m. en St. Cecilia R.C. Church en Kearny, Nueva Jersey, seguida del entierro en Holy Cross Cemetery en North Arlington, Nueva Jersey.

Olga Vega, 95, of West New York, New Jersey, passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born in Lima, Peru, to her beloved parents, Ernestina Sanchez and Lucas Goicochea.

Olga lived a long life filled with love, devotion to her family, and quiet strength. She made her home in West New York, NJ, where she was a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her family was the center of her life, and she found great joy in being surrounded by them.

She is lovingly survived by her children Jorge Placencia, Gloria Placencia, Pablo Placencia, and Uylises Placencia; her cherished grandchildren Mariela, Grisel, Juan Andres, Vanessa, Jonathan, Cindy, and Nicole; and her dear sisters Elizabeth Abreu and Marcela Palacios.

Olga shared her home with her son, Uylises, and her beloved grandson, Carlos Andres. They shared a very special bond and did everything together, filling their days with companionship, laughter, and love.

Just three days before Olga’s passing, her grandson Carlos Andres passed away. Although the family did not have the heart to tell her, it seemed as though she already knew. Their deep connection remained unbroken, and now they are reunited in eternal peace.

Olga will be remembered for her kindness, her dedication to her family, and the love she gave so freely. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Visitation for Olga Vega and her grandson Carlos Andres will take place on Friday, March 13, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Barquin Funeral Home, Guttenberg, NJ.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at 10:00 AM at St. Cecilia R.C. Church in Kearny, New Jersey, followed by interment at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington, New Jersey.
