Milena V. Christov

Milena V. Christov passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 29th, 2025, at Family of Caring in Teaneck, NJ. 

A resident of North Bergen, NJ, she was born in Sofia, Bulgaria, to her parents, Visa-Anna Vasileva and Vasil Vasilev.

Milena is survived by her daughter, Annamaria Carmen, and her granddaughter, Aimee Carmen.

A very hardworking English Professor, she spent 30 years teaching English as a Second Language at Bergen Community College in Paramus, NJ, where she helped thousands of students learn English, transforming their lives forever to succeed in a new country. She earned two Master's degrees and was always a lifelong learner of languages and cultures. She often went beyond teaching English to help students learn about American culture and how to navigate adult life. She will be remembered for her love of family, friends, and for how she would always help students with their goals for success.
