Marisol Manns
July 27, 1965 – October 15, 2025
Born in Santiago, Chile, Marisol spent her early childhood in Chile and later in Spain, where she developed a love for the Spanish dialect and humor. She was always quick to share a witty “Spaniard joke,” bringing laughter and joy to those around her.
In her preteen years, Marisol moved to the United States and made North Bergen, NJ, her new hometown. She attended Horace Mann Elementary School and North Bergen High School before Graduating from Palisades Park Jr Sr High School, where her love of learning, especially in the sciences, began to shine. Fascinated by astrology and anthropology, Marisol went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from Hunter College, graduating magna cum laude. She later continued her education at New York University’s School of Professional Studies, earning an Associate in Arts in Liberal Arts. Her academic excellence was recognized through multiple honors, including membership in the Delta Upsilon Chapter of the Alpha Sigma Lambda National Honor Society and the prestigious Wallace Cobetz Memorial Award.
Fluent in both English and Spanish, Marisol held several positions as an executive-level administrative professional. One of her greatest joys was volunteering at the American Museum of Natural History. There, she served as a bilingual museum tour guide, leading tours in both English and Spanish and assisting with the translation of educational materials.
Marisol will be remembered as a kind, loving, and good-hearted soul who was always ready to help others. She cherished her family deeply and loved returning to Chile to spend the holidays with her many cousins, aunts, and uncles. Her compassion extended to animals as well, especially the feral cats she cared for, providing them with food and shelter on her deck in Palisades Park, NJ.
Marisol is now reunited in heaven with her father, Roberto. She is survived by her devoted mother, Iris Cortes, along with her beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends who will forever hold her in their hearts.
A memorial Mass in her honor will be held at a later date.
May her beautiful soul rest in eternal peace.
