Luis Conrado Hernandez

Luis Conrado Hernandez, surrounded by his family, entered eternal peace on Saturday, March 22nd, 2025, at Palisades Medical Center, North Bergen, NJ.

A resident of West New York, NJ, he was born in Armenia, Colombia, to his parents Maria Herlinda Montoya and Pablo E. Hernandez.

Luis, better known to his family as Conrado, was a man of deep humility, integrity, and unconditional love.  Conrado spent much of his career working at a funeral home.  Much like he did in his professional life, he dedicated his time to offering genuine care and comfort to loved ones when they needed it most. 

Conrado at his core was a family man.  Not only was he a great father—he was a friend, a mentor, and someone who always made time for those he loved. Conrado will be remembered for his legacy of love, family, and service.

He will join his parents, his daughter Junie, and his brothers, German, Fernando, and Gildardo in the heavenly kingdom.

Luis leaves behind his beloved wife, Gilma Hernandez, and his loving children, Vickie Hernandez, Michelle Defreitas, and David Hernandez.

He will also be remembered by his cherished grandchildren, Ashly Rosa, Eric, Alizette, Matthew, Camila, Adrian, and Mason and his great-grandchildren, Eden and Isabella.

Luis was one of 13 children, and he is survived by his siblings Cesar, Julian, Roosevelt, Ariel, Jairo, Maria Consuelo, Christina, Amparo, and Liliana.

Visitation for family and friends will be on Thursday, March 27th, 2025, from 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm at the funeral home.

A funeral mass will be offered on Friday, March 28th, 2025, at 11:00 am at St. Joseph of the Palisades R.C. Church, West New York, NJ.

Interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery, Fairview, NJ.

Luis Conrado Hernández, rodeado de su familia, falleció el sábado 22 de marzo de 2025 en el Centro Médico Palisades, North Bergen, Nueva Jersey.

Residente de West New York, Nueva Jersey, nació en Armenia, Colombia, hijo de María Herlinda (Montoya) y Pablo E. Hernández.

Luis, mejor conocido en su familia como Conrado, fue un hombre de profunda humildad, integridad y amor incondicional. Conrado dedicó gran parte de su carrera a trabajar en una funeraria. Al igual que en su vida profesional, dedicó su tiempo a brindar atención y consuelo genuinos a sus seres queridos cuando más lo necesitaban.

En esencia, Conrado era un hombre de familia. No solo fue un gran padre, sino también un amigo, un mentor y alguien que siempre dedicaba tiempo a sus seres queridos. Conrado será recordado por su legado de amor, familia y servicio.

Se unirá a sus padres, su hija Junie y sus hermanos, Germán, Fernando y Gildardo, en el reino celestial.

Luis deja atrás a su amada esposa, Gilma Hernández, y a sus queridos hijos, Vickie Hernández, Michelle Defreitas y David Hernández.

También será recordado por sus queridos nietos: Ashly Rosa, Eric, Alizette, Matthew, Camila, Adrián y Mason, y sus bis-nietos Eden y Isabella.

Luis fue uno de 13 hijos, y le sobreviven sus hermanos César, Julián, Roosevelt, Ariel, Jairo, María Consuelo, Cristina, Amparo y Liliana.

El velatorio para familiares y amigos tendrá lugar el jueves 27 de marzo de 2025, de 3:00 pm a 7:00 pm, en la funeraria.

La misa funeral se ofrecerá el viernes 28 de marzo de 2025 a las 11:00 am en la Iglesia Católica Romana de San José de Palisades, en West New York, Nueva Jersey.

El entierro se realizará a continuación en el Cementerio Fairview, también en Fairview, Nueva Jersey.
