Luis A. Betancourt

Luis A. Betancourt, surrounded by his family, entered eternal rest on Thursday, June 27th, 2024, at his residence.

A Union City, NJ resident, he was born in Barceloneta, Puerto Rico to his parents Modesto Betancourt and Andrea Machado.

Luis proudly served our country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict.

Luis is survived by his loving wife Aida Betancourt.

He leaves behind his loving children Carlos Sotomayor, Gonzalo Sotomayor, Luis Sotomayor, Jimmy Sotomayor, Luis Betancourt, Laura Yelixa Betancourt, and Wanda Betancourt.

He will also be missed by his cherished grandchildren, Katherine, Denisse, Joshue, Bianca, Hennessey, Luis Gabriel, Jimmy, Jovanio, Julian, Wanda, Diedre, John, Luis, Yelixa, and Benny.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday,  June 28th, 2024, 4 - 8 pm, at the funeral home

Morning visitation will be on Saturday, June 29th, 2024 from 9:30 -10:30 am.

Funeral services will take place on Saturday. June 29th at 10:30 am at the funeral home

Interment to follow at Weehawken Cemetery, North Bergen, NJ.
