Juan Soto

Juan Soto entered eternal peace on Thursday, May 8th, 2025, at Hackensack University Medical Center in Hackensack, NJ.

A resident of Union City, NJ, he was born in Toa Alta, Puerto Rico, to his parents, Arturo Soto and Francisca Diaz.

Juan has worked for the past 17 years for the Union City Board of Education at the Union Hill Middle School.

He joins his siblings, Librada Alvarez, and Angel Luis Soto in the heavenly kingdom.

Juan leaves behind his beloved wife of over 50 years, Daisy Ferrer, and his loving children, Maritza Gonzalez, Juan Arturo Soto, Marybelle Soto, Evelyn Andino, and Delsy Sorto.

Juan will be remembered by his adored grandchildren, Karina Gonzalez, Omaira Soto, Leonel Soto, Lannies Arroyo, Kayla Andino, Kristie Andino, Katherine Andino, Jonathan Sorto, and Danica Sorto. He will also be remembered by his beloved great-grandchildren, Izaiah and Mila Soto.

He will be missed by his siblings, Reina Isabel Mercado, Manuel Soto, Teresa Lopez, and Reinaldo Soto.

Visitation for family and friends will be on Monday, May 19th, 2025, from 3:00 – 7:00 pm and Tuesday, May 20th from 9 am - 10 am at the funeral home.

Funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 20th, at 10:30 am at St. Anthony of Padua R.C. Church, Union City, NJ.

Interment following services will be held at the East Ridgelawn Cemetery in Clifton, NJ.

Residente de Union City, NJ, nació en Toa Alta, Puerto Rico, hijo de Arturo Soto y Francisca Diaz.

Juan ha trabajado durante los últimos 17 años para la Junta de Educación de Union City en la Escuela Intermedia Union Hill.

Se une a sus hermanos, Librada Alvarez y Angel Luis Soto en el reino de los cielos.

Juan deja atrás a su amada esposa de más de 50 años, Daisy Ferrer, y a sus queridos hijos: Maritza Gonzalez, Juan Arturo Soto, Marybelle Soto, Evelyn Andino y Delsy Sorto.

Juan será recordado por sus adorados nietos: Karina Gonzalez, Omaira Soto, Leonel Soto, Lannies Arroyo, Kayla Andino, Kristie Andino, Katherine Andino, Jonathan Sorto y Danica Sorto. También lo recordarán sus queridos bisnietos, Izaiah y Mila Soto.

Lo extrañarán sus hermanos, Reina Isabel Mercado, Manuel Soto, Teresa Lopez y Reinaldo Soto.

El velatorio para familiares y amigos tendrá lugar el lunes 19 de mayo de 2025, de 3:00 - 7:00 pm, y el martes, 20 de mayo de 9 - 10 am, en la funeraria.

La misa funeral se celebrará el martes 20 de mayo a las 10:30 a. m. en la Iglesia Católica Romana de San Antonio de Padua, en Union City, Nueva Jersey.

El entierro posterior se realizará en el Cementerio East Ridgelawn en Clifton, Nueva Jersey.
