José Veras falleció pacíficamente el domingo 17 de noviembre de 2024 en The Harborage en North Bergen, Nueva Jersey.

Residente de Weehawken, Nueva Jersey, el nació en La Vega, República Dominicana, de sus padres Tomás Ramos Veras y María Felica Grullón.

Se unirá a su hija Idelsa Ponce en el cielo.

José deja atrás a su amada esposa Iselsa Altagracia Fernández y a sus hijos Marina Veras, Raymond Veras, Zoila Hernández y José Fernández.

Será recordado por sus queridos nietos Julio Alvarado, Hugo Ponce, Mark Rivera, Frank Ortiz, Kendrick Veras, Jennifer Veras, Gissele Hernández, Gabriel Hernández, George, Hernández y Gidardo Hernández.

Deja atrás a su querido hermano Rafael.

José será extrañado por todos aquellos que dejó atrás.

Se invita a familiares y amigos a asistir a una celebración de vida que se llevará a cabo el miércoles 20 de noviembre de 2024, de 4:00 a 8:00 p. m. en la funeraria.

El velatorio matutino será el jueves 21 de noviembre de 2024, de 9:00 a. m. a 10:00 a. m. en la funeraria.

La misa fúnebre se llevará a cabo el jueves 21 de noviembre de 2024 a las 11:00 a. m. en la iglesia católica St. Joseph's en West New York, NJ

El sepelio se llevará a cabo en el cementerio Fairview en Fairview, NJ.

Jose Veras peacefully passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2024, at The Harborage in North Bergen, NJ.

A resident of Weehawken, NJ, he was born in La Vega, Dominican Republic, to his parents Tomas Ramos Veras and Maria Felica Grullon.

He will join his daughter Idelsa Pponce in heaven.

Jose leaves behind his loving wife Iselsa Altagracia Fernandez, and their children Marina Veras, Raymond Veras, Zoila Hernandez, and Jose Fernandez.

He will be remembered by his cherished Julio Alvarado, Hugo Poce, Mark Rivera, Frank Ortiz, Kendrick Veras, Jennifer Veras, Gissele Hernandez, Gabriel Hernandez, George, Hernandez, and Gidardo Hernandez.

He leaves behind his dear brother Rafael.

Jose will be missed by all those he left behind. 

Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of life that will take place on Wednesday, November 20th, 2024, from 4:00 - 8:00 pm at the funeral home.

Morning visitation will be Thursday, November 21st, 2024, from 9:00 am – 10:00 am at the funeral home.

Funeral Mass will be on Thursday, November 21st, 2024 at 11:00 am at St. Joseph's R.C. Church in West New York, NJ

Interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery in Fairview, NJ.
