Jose De Jesus Mirabal

Jose De Jesus Mirabal entered eternal rest on Friday, January 1st, 2021 at the age of 84 at his home in North Bergen, New Jersey surrounded by his loved ones.

Jose was born in Marianao, Habana Cuba and was the beloved only child of Angel and Clara Mirabal.  In 1973, he left Cuba along with his wife and kids, leaving everything and everyone else he had ever known behind to find a better life for his family in Spain and, ultimately in the United States of America. He loved Cuba but he also loved the USA and was proud to be an American citizen.

Jose is survived by his devoted wife Ana Mirabal, to whom he was married for 62 years. They met when Ana was 12 years old and he was 17 and, until now, were never apart since they met, they were inseparable until the very end.

Jose loved singing opera and would often burst into song and start singing “La Donna è Mobile” and “Torna a Surriento”. He was Cuban Pavarotti!

He will forever live in the hearts of his loved ones including his loving sons Marcos Mirabal and Angel Mirabal along with his daughters-in-law Zoila Cordova and Kathleen Mirabal, his cherished grandchildren Analy Graziano, Sebastian Mirabal, Alexander Mirabal and great grandchildren Julian Graziano and Marleigh Graziano.

Visitation will be Sunday, January 10th, 2021 from 3:00-7:00 pm at the funeral home.

Funeral service will be Monday, January 11th, 2021 at 9:30 am at the funeral home.

Interment to follow service at Arlington Cemetery, Kearny, NJ.
