José Ángel Aguilar, de 91 años, de Jersey City, Nueva Jersey, falleció en paz, rodeado del amor de su familia. Nació en Yoro Yoro, Honduras, hijo de sus padres Francisca Puentes y José Ángel Aguilar.
José vivió una vida larga y significativa, centrada en la fe, la familia y las alegrías sencillas de la vida. Más tarde estableció su hogar en Jersey City, Nueva Jersey, donde construyó una vida junto a su querida esposa, Lida (Chávez) Aguilar. Juntos compartieron muchos años de amor, dedicación y vida familiar.
Fue un esposo, padre y abuelo devoto que atesoraba pasar tiempo con las personas que más amaba. A José le sobreviven su amada esposa Lida (Chávez) Aguilar; sus hijos Gustavo Aguilar, Dennys Aguilar y Wendy Leveron Aguilar; y sus queridos nietos Bryan, Stephanie y Wendy Marissa Leveron, Victoria, Andrés y Sophia Aguilar y bisnieta Alani Leveron.
José era conocido por su gran corazón y por su aprecio por los placeres sencillos de la vida. Era un gran fanático de los New York Yankees, disfrutaba ver béisbol, compartir historias y reunirse alrededor de la mesa para disfrutar de una buena comida con su familia. También era un gran aficionado al fútbol y seguidor de la selección nacional de Argentina. Su bondad, su fortaleza tranquila y el amor por su familia siempre serán recordados por quienes lo conocieron.
La velación se llevará a cabo el domingo 8 de marzo de 2026, de 2:00 p.m. a 6:00 p.m., y el lunes de 8:30 a.m. a 9:30 a.m. en Barquin Funeral Home, en Guttenberg, Nueva Jersey.
La misa funeral se celebrará en la Iglesia Our Lady of Mount Carmel en Jersey City, Nueva Jersey, a las 10:30 a.m.
El entierro se realizará después de la misa en Holy Name Cemetery en Jersey City, Nueva Jersey.

Jose Angel Aguilar, 91, of Jersey City, New Jersey, passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family. He was born in Yoro Yoro, Honduras, to his parents, Francisca Puentes and Jose Angel Aguilar.
Jose lived a long and meaningful life centered on faith, family, and the simple joys of life. He later made his home in Jersey City, New Jersey, where he built a life with his beloved wife, Lida (Chavez) Aguilar. Together, they shared many years of love, dedication, and family.
He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who cherished spending time with those he loved most. Jose is survived by his loving wife, Lida (Chavez) Aguilar; his children, Gustavo Aguilar, Dennys Aguilar, and Wendy Leveron Aguilar; and his cherished grandchildren, Bryan, Stephanie, and Wendy Marissa Leveron, Victoria, Andrés, and Sophia Aguilar, and his adored great-granddaughter, Alani Leveron.
Jose was known for his warm heart and appreciation for life’s simple pleasures. He was a big New York Yankees fan and enjoyed watching baseball, sharing stories, and gathering around the table for a good meal with family. He was also a huge soccer fan and a passionate supporter of the Argentina national soccer team. His kindness, quiet strength, and love for his family will always be remembered by those who knew him.
Visitation will take place on Sunday, March 8, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Monday from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM at Barquin Funeral Home in Guttenberg, New Jersey.
A funeral Mass will be offered at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Jersey City, New Jersey, at 10:30 AM.
Burial will follow the Mass at Holy Name Cemetery in Jersey City, New Jersey.
He leaves behind a legacy of love, family unity, and treasured memories that will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
