Jesus "Chuchi" Garcia

Jesus "Chuchi" Garcia, surrounded by his family, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 22nd, 2025, at his residence.

A resident of North Bergen, NJ, he was born in Havana, Cuba, to his parents, Norma Almanguer, and the late Jose Garcia.

Jesus proudly served the Fairview and Guttenberg community as a police officer.  He served as the commander of the Guttenberg Police Department Honor Guard and a member of the Special Response Team. Jesus served with courage and unwavering dedication. He bravely battled ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease) since 2021, confronting each day with persistent strength until the very end.

Jesus is survived by his devoted wife, Marlene Garcia, and their loving daughter, Lauren Garcia Marcigliano, along with her husband, Genaro.

He leaves behind his cherished grandchildren, Julian Jesus, and Valentina Maria.

Jesus will be fondly remembered by his mother, Norma, and his dog, Diesel.

Visitation for family and friends will be on Tuesday, November 25th, 2025, from 4:00 - 8:00 pm at the funeral home.

Morning visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m.

A Catholic Blessing will be offered at 9:30 am. 

Jesús "Chuchi" García falleció pacíficamente el sábado 22 de noviembre de 2025 en su residencia.

Residente de North Bergen, Nueva Jersey, nació en La Habana, Cuba, hijo de Norma Almanguer y del difunto José García.

Jesus sirvió con orgullo a las comunidades de Fairview y Guttenberg como oficial de policía. Como comandante del Departamento de Policía de Guttenberg de la Guardia de Honor y miembro del Equipo de Respuesta Especial, sirvió con valentía e inquebrantable dedicación. Luchó valientemente contra la ELA (esclerosis lateral amiotrófica) desde 2021, afrontando cada día con persistente fortaleza hasta el final.

Le sobreviven su amada esposa, Marlene Garcia, y su hija, Lauren Garcia Marcigliano, y su esposo, Genaro.

Deja atrás a sus queridos nietos, Julian Jesus y Valentina Maria.

Jesús será recordado con cariño por su madre, Norma, y ​​su perro, Diesel.

El velorio para familiares y amigos se llevará a cabo el martes 25 de noviembre de 2025, de 4:00 a 8:00 pm en la funeraria.

El velorio matutino será el miércoles 26 de noviembre de 2025, de 9:00 a 10:00 am.

Se ofrecerá una bendición a las 9:30 am.
