Jaime Paternina, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 5, 2026, at Englewood Medical Center in Englewood, New Jersey.

Born in Sincelejo, Colombia, Jaime was the cherished son of Francisco Paternina and Carmen. He carried with him the warmth, resilience, and vibrant spirit of his roots throughout his life.

Jaime was a talented sound engineer, known for his skill, creativity, and passion for his craft. His work reflected not only his technical ability but also his deep appreciation for bringing people together through sound and shared experiences.

He made his home in Union City, New Jersey, where he created a life full of meaningful relationships and lasting memories.

Jaime is survived by his loving wife, Ana, who was his partner and constant support.

He was a proud and devoted father to his sons: Johan and his wife Juliana, Jeison and his wife Kathy, and Daniel and his wife Angela.

His legacy continues through his beloved grandchildren—Daniel Jr., Emily, Nicholas, Derek, Juliette, Joy, and Jasmine—who brought him immense joy and pride.

He will be deeply missed and forever held in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 10, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

A morning visitation will take place on Saturday, April 11, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home

Interment at Weehawken Cemetery in Weehawken, New Jersey.

Nacido en Sincelejo, Colombia, Jaime fue el querido hijo de Francisco Paternina y Carmen. A lo largo de su vida llevó consigo la calidez, la fortaleza y el espíritu vibrante de sus raíces.

Jaime fue un talentoso ingeniero de sonido, reconocido por su habilidad, creatividad y pasión por su oficio. Su trabajo reflejaba no solo su capacidad técnica, sino también su profundo aprecio por unir a las personas a través del sonido y las experiencias compartidas.

Hizo su hogar en Union City, Nueva Jersey, donde construyó una vida llena de relaciones significativas y recuerdos duraderos.

El sepelio se realizará en el Cementerio de Weehawken en Weehawken, Nueva Jersey.
