Ivanica Jeane (Kleva) Lukin

Ivanica Jeane Lukin, of North Bergen, New Jersey, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, devotion, and family.

She was born in Olib, Croatia, to the late Ivan Kleva and Marija Bondulic, and carried with her the values of family, resilience, and tradition throughout her life.

A devoted homemaker, Ivanica dedicated her life to caring for her family and creating a warm, welcoming home filled with love.

She was the beloved wife of the late Božo Chris Lukin, with whom she shared many years of marriage and companionship. Together, they built a life centered on family, hard work, and enduring love.

She is preceded in death by her siblings, Sal Kleva and Vazmenka Kleva. 

She is survived by her children: John Lukin and his wife Eva; Erika Beretin and her husband Bob; and Susan Rose and her late husband, Jesus Gonzalez.

Ivanica was a proud and loving grandmother to Dennis Beretin, and his wife, Jaime, Peter Beretin and his wife, Lauren, Joseph Beretin, Karissa, Michael, Maritza, Amanda Gonzalez, Philip, and Andrew Lukin.

She was also a cherished great-grandmother to Mason Beretin, Jaxon Beretin, Petey Beretin Jr., Jesus Gonzalez, Anthony Teran Jr., and Jarielis Lynn Rojas.

She leaves behind her siblings, Kazimir Kleva and his wife Maria, Milan Kleva and his wife Vera, Marija Medic and her husband Tito, along with her many nieces and nephews. 

Ivanica will be remembered for her gentle spirit, unwavering strength, and lifelong devotion to her family. Her love and guidance live on through the generations she nurtured, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Visitation for family and friends will be on Friday, January 23, 2026, from 3:00 - 8:00 pm at the funeral home.

A funeral Mass will be offered at Our Lady of Fatima R.C. Church in North Bergen, NJ, at 10:00 am.

Interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery in Fairview, NJ.
