Iris Otero, surrounded by her loving family, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at Villa Marie Claire Hospice in Saddle River, New Jersey.

Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Iris was the beloved daughter of Dolores Rodriguez and Jorge Luis Zeno Sama. She later made her home in North Bergen, New Jersey, where she built a life centered on family, love, and devotion to those closest to her.

Iris was a proud college graduate, a successful businesswoman, a dedicated social worker, and a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. Throughout her life, she carried herself with strength, compassion, and determination, touching countless lives through her service, kindness, and commitment to helping others.

Iris will be forever remembered by her devoted husband, William Otero; her loving children, Wesley and his wife Aracelys, Zaran, Tarek, and Russell Otero; her cherished granddaughters, Nicolette and Catherine Otero; and her dear brother, George Zeno. Her warmth, strength, and unwavering love for her family will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life Memorial Service on Sunday, May 31, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Barquin Funeral Home, Guttenberg, New Jersey.

Iris’s memory will live on through the love she shared and the many lives she touched.
