Elsa Carrillo passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 6, 2026, at Hackensack University Medical Center.
Born in Jocotillo, Usulután, El Salvador, Elsa was the beloved daughter of Marta Evila Ayala and Francisco Correa. She later made her home in West New York, New Jersey, where she was surrounded by the love of her family and friends.
Elsa will be lovingly remembered by her beloved husband, Jaime Carrillo; her loving children, Jaime Carrillo Jr., Alba Morales, Benjamin Carrillo, Esther Rodriguez, Tirsa Verdin, and Betsabe Carrillo; and her 18 cherished grandchildren. Her love, strength, and devotion to her family will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during visitation on Friday, September 11, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and on Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
Interment will follow on Saturday at Fairview Cemetery in Fairview, New Jersey.
Elsa will be deeply missed and forever remembered with love.
