Diego Perez

Diego Perez, age 91, of West New York New Jersey, entered into Eternal Rest on Wednesday, July 29th at 12:39 pm.
He passed away peacefully at Hackensack Palisades General Hospital.
Diego was born in Santa Clara, Cuba to the late José Luis Perez and Antonina Oliver on April 16, 1929.
Diego and his family came to the US in 1967. Here they made their American dream come true by owning a successful grocery store business “El Consuelo”.
Throughout his life he enjoyed spending time with his family, cruising, traveling, going to Yankee Stadium, attending meetings as a member of “La Logia” in Union City NJ.
Diego was a loving and attentive father to his only daughter, Jacqueline. He was a wonderful husband to Nelly Perez for 65 years. He was a loving brother to his sister Dulce Perez. 
The family wishes to thank the friends that cared for him throughout his life. He was kind, hard working and always helped anyone in need and will never be forgotten.
There will be a brief ceremony at 10 am on Friday, August 7, 2020 at Flower Hill Mausoleum on 5433 Kennedy Blvd., West New York, New Jersey at the family mausoleum.
