Derek Montas

It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Derek Montas, a beloved son and brother who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A resident of Denver, Colorado, he was born in North Bergen, NJ, to his parents, Carolina Paez and Hugo C. Montas.

Before moving to Denver 9 years ago, Derek resided in Ridgefield, NJ, where he attended grammar school.

Derek leaves behind his loving parents and his cherished sisters, Luna Gil and Ianka Montas.

He will be remembered by his dear grandparents, Marisol Obregon, Carlos Paez, Sonya & Hugo Montas, and Alvaro Obregon

Visitation for family and friends will be on Wednesday, November 12th, 2025, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.

Morning visitation will be on Thursday, November 13th, 2025, from 9:00 to 10:00 am at the funeral home.

A catholic blessing will be offered on Thursday, 10:00 am, at the funeral home

Burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery, Fairview, NJ

Con profunda tristeza anunciamos el inesperado fallecimiento de Derek Montas, amado hijo y hermano, a quien todos quienes lo conocieron y amaron extrañarán profundamente.

Residente de Denver, Colorado, nació en North Bergen, Nueva Jersey, hijo de Carolina Páez y Hugo C. Montas.

Antes de mudarse a Denver hace nueve años, Derek vivió en Ridgefield, Nueva Jersey, donde cursó la primaria.

Derek deja a sus amados padres y a sus queridas hermanas, Luna Gil e Ianka Montas.

Será recordado con cariño por sus abuelos, Marisol Obregón, Carlos Páez, Sonya y Hugo Montas y Álvaro Obregón.

El velorio para familiares y amigos se llevará a cabo el miércoles 12 de noviembre de 2025, de 4:00  a 8:00 p.m. en la funeraria.

Habrá un velorio matutino el jueves 13 de noviembre de 2025, de 9:00  a 10:00 a.m. en la funeraria.

Se ofrecerá una bendición católica el jueves a las 10:00 a.m. en la funeraria.

El entierro tendrá lugar a continuación en el cementerio Fairview, Fairview, Nueva Jersey.
