It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Cayetana Gladys Ortega, who entered eternal rest on Monday, July 27, 2026, at the CareOne at Wellington in Hackensack, NJ.

A Union City Resident, Cayetana was born in Pinar del Rio, Cuba. Born with a kind heart and a beautiful spirit, she was the beloved daughter of Ana Maria Martinez, and Valentin Fernandez. 

Cayetana will join her husband, Rodolfo, in heaven, who passed away on March 16, 2020.

She was a devoted mother whose greatest joy in life was her family. She leaves behind her cherished son, John Ortega.

Cayetana's love and spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

Con profunda tristeza y gran pesar, anunciamos el fallecimiento de Cayetana Gladys Ortega, quien partió al descanso eterno el lunes 27 de julio de 2026 en el centro CareOne at Wellington, en Hackensack, Nueva Jersey.

Cayetana, quien nació en Pinar del Río, Cuba, y residía en Union City, poseía un corazón bondadoso y un espíritu maravilloso. Era la amada hija de Ana María Martínez y Valentín Fernández.

Cayetana se reunirá en el cielo con su esposo, Rodolfo, quien falleció el 16 de marzo de 2020.

Fue una madre dedicada cuya mayor alegría en la vida fue su familia. Deja a su querido hijo, John Ortega.

El amor y el espíritu de Cayetana perdurarán en los corazones de todos aquellos que la conocieron y la amaron. Se le extrañará profundamente, pero nunca será olvidada.

No se llevarán a cabo servicios funerarios.
