Caridad Mercedes Cruz

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Caridad Mercedes Cruz, who departed this life on December 17, 2025, at Palisades Medical Center in North Bergen, New Jersey.

Caridad was a resident of West New York, New Jersey, and was born in Queens, New York, to her late parents, Sixta Nora and Gonzalo Alfonso Cruz.

She was the devoted and loving mother of her cherished children, David Cruz and Mercedes Cummings Cruz, who were the pride and joy of her life.

Caridad is also survived by her beloved brothers, Lazaro Cruz and his partner Janet Ferrer, and Gonzalo Cruz and his wife Michelle.
She was a devoted aunt to her treasured nieces and nephews: Ishmael (and his wife Leslieann), Emanie, Ashton, Brianna, Jonathan, Arianna, Lazaro, Jacob, and Everly.

Caridad will be remembered for her warmth, strength, and the love she so freely gave to her family. Though we grieve her passing, we find comfort in knowing that her light, kindness, and spirit will live on in all who were blessed to know her.

Visitation for family and friends will be on Monday, December 22nd, 2025, from 4:00 - 8:00 pm at the funeral home.

Morning visitation will be on Tuesday, December 23rd, 2025, from 9:00 - 10:00 am at the funeral home.

A blessing will be offered at 10:00 am.

Interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery in Fairview, NJ.

Con profundo pesar anunciamos el fallecimiento de Caridad Mercedes Cruz, quien partió de este mundo el 17 de diciembre de 2025, en el Palisades Medical Center de North Bergen, Nueva Jersey.

Caridad residía en West New York, Nueva Jersey, y nació en Queens, Nueva York, hija de sus difuntos padres, Sixta Nora y Gonzalo Alfonso Cruz.

Fue una madre devota y amorosa de sus queridos hijos, David Cruz y Mercedes Cummings Cruz, quienes fueron el orgullo y la alegría de su vida.

Caridad también deja a sus amados hermanos, Lázaro Cruz y su pareja Janet Ferrer, y Gonzalo Cruz y su esposa Michelle.
Fue una tía cariñosa para sus queridos sobrinos y sobrinas: Ishmael (junto a su esposa Leslieann), Emanie, Ashton, Brianna, Jonathan, Arianna, Lazaro, Jacob y Everly.

Caridad será recordada por su calidez, fortaleza y el amor que brindó generosamente a su familia. Aunque su partida nos llena de tristeza, encontramos consuelo al saber que su luz, bondad y espíritu vivirán para siempre en todos aquellos que tuvieron el privilegio de conocerla.

El velorio para familiares y amigos se llevará a cabo el lunes 22 de diciembre de 2025, de 4:00 a 8:00 pm horas en la funeraria.

El velorio matutino será el martes 23 de diciembre de 2025, de 9:00 a 10:00 am en la funeraria.

Se ofrecerá una bendición a las 10:00 am.

El sepelio se realizará a continuación en el Cementerio Fairview en Fairview, Nueva Jersey.
