Candido Bejerano Obituary

Today we mourn the loss of Candido Bejerano who sadly left us too soon on Monday, October 25th, 2021.

He leaves behind his loving wife, Maria, and his adoring and devoted daughters, Margarita Wallach and Mariana Bejerano, and his son-in-law Peter Wallach. Candido is also survived by his mother, Josefa Diaz, his cherished grandchildren Charlotte Aitkens, and Kieran, Michela, and Alexis Wallach, as well as his brothers Modesto Bejerano and Raoul Duval.

Candido was a caring, kind, and generous man who was as quick to lend a helping hand in any way he could as he was to light up a room with his unique (and occasionally cutting) sense of humor.  He was a fantastic cook who loved to entertain family and friends at his house and to make them feel comfortable and welcome. He bravely, and against adversity, undertook to bring his family to America in 1980 to give his daughters opportunities that he never had.  He owned multiple small businesses and built a successful life for himself and his family, in every way.

The lack of his presence will be deeply felt by all the people who loved him, and he will be sorely missed.  The world he leaves behind is a better place because of him.

Visitation for family and friends will be Wednesday, October 27th, 2021 from 4:00-8:00 pm.
Funeral Mass will be Thursday, October 28th, 2021 at 11:00 am at St. Joseph of the Palisades R.C Church, West New York, NJ.
Entombment to follow Mass at Flower Hill Mausoleum in North Bergen, NJ.
