Calixto "Pepe" Leon

Calixto "Pepe" Leon of West New York, NJ passed away on September 28, 2024 at the age of 86.

Pepe was an avid domino player, dedicated family man, and active community member who embodied the ideals of the American dream after immigrating to the United States from Cuba and building a career in the insurance industry.

Pepe's latest promotion was the title of great-grandfather. One of his last memories was watching his great-grandson take his first steps.

Calixto is survived by his dedicated wife of 63 years, Claudina Leon (Hernandez); daughter Maria Leon; grandchildren Adam Parkinson, Ariel Babcock, and her husband Jesse; great-grandson Griffin; sister Migdalia; and numerous nieces and nephews. Those who knew him will forever cherish memories of a life well-lived and well-loved.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Friday, October 4th, 2024 at 11 am, at St. Joseph of the Palisades R.C. Church, West New York, NJ
