Antonio G. Funcasta, a deeply loved father, grandfather, husband, and friend, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 13th, 2026, at the Kindred Hospital East NJ in Passaic, NJ.

Born in Marianao, La Habana, Cuba, Antonio was the beloved son of Exsuperancia Alvarado-Lugo, and Antonio Funcasta-Cascudo. He was a proud resident of West New York, NJ.

Antonio leaves behind his dear wife, Ligia Funcasta, and his cherished son, David A. Funcasta and his wife Stephanie. 

He was the proud and adored grandfather of Benjamin and Daniel.

Antonio will be remembered for his loving heart, gentle spirit, and the joy he brought to everyone who knew him.

A celebration of life for family and friends will be held on Saturday, June 20th, 2026, from 2:00 - 6:00 pm.

 

Antonio G. Funcasta, un padre, abuelo, esposo y amigo profundamente amado, falleció en paz el sábado 13 de junio de 2026 en el Kindred Hospital East NJ, en Passaic, Nueva Jersey.

Nacido en Marianao, La Habana, Cuba, Antonio era el amado hijo de Exsuperancia Alvarado-Lugo y Antonio Funcasta-Cascudo. Era un residente orgulloso de West New York, Nueva Jersey.

A Antonio le sobreviven su querida esposa, Ligia Funcasta, y su apreciado hijo, David A. Funcasta, junto a su esposa Stephanie.

Fue el orgulloso y adorado abuelo de Benjamin y Daniel.

Antonio será recordado por su corazón amoroso, su espíritu bondadoso y la alegría que brindaba a todos los que lo conocieron.

Se llevará a cabo una celebración de vida para familiares y amigos el sábado 20 de junio de 2026, de 2:00 - 6:00 pm.
